Jenn Brenner

Michael Wallace

Jenn moved to St. Louis with Mike in 2016, embarking on a new adventure in a city they had never called home before. For Jenn, it wasn’t just about settling down in a new place—it was about finding a community that made her feel truly connected. She quickly grew to love St. Louis, not just for its vibrant energy and rich culture, but for the relationships and bonds she built along the way. Jenn’s love for creativity and connection shines through in everything she does. She’s an avid cosplayer, always looking for the next exciting character to bring to life. And, of course, her dog Dargo is always by her side, adding a little extra joy to her everyday life.

In January 2022, Jenn and Mike starting running “Nice to Meet You,” a project that reflects their passion for building community and fostering connections. Through it, they’ve been dedicated to helping people come together and find their own sense of belonging.

Mike has been a Saint Louis transplant since 2016. Arriving with Jenn, they had few to no friends in the area and successfully built a life after a few years. COVID hit, and times were of course tough. The importance of connections and people became all the more real during those times. When times are tough, you need friends. Afterwards, he fell in love with the people, places, and food of the area. Since finding a home in the Grove district, he has wanted to spread a message for friendship and community.

“Friendships and community are some of the most important things we can develop in our lives and we need bring that into focus more” -Mike W
